Adding a Sitemap in Google Search Console
Adding a sitemap to your Google Search Console will provide Google with information about the pages, videos and other files on your website, and how they interact with one another. Search engines will use your sitemap information to crawl your site effectively.

To add a sitemap, you need to have already set up Google Search Console for your website. To see how to do this on the Storbie platform, see our step-by-step guide.

1. Open Google Search Console. Make sure the URL of the website you want to add the sitemap to is showing in the top left. If it isn't, use the drop-down to select the correct URL.

2. Select Sitemaps.

4. Once successfully submitted, you will see this notice pop-up. Hit GOT IT.

5. For some reason, you need to repeat step 3 for the sitemap to work. We're scratching our heads just as much as you are!

6. Once your sitemap has been created, you should see this on your screen. It will also contain the date.

7. You're good to go! Google will now use this to crawl your website.
