Do you stock a heavy product that needs to be picked up? Or sell select products on behalf of a wholesaler who ships the product directly? If so, this is the feature for you!  

Restricting shipping methods by products allow a much greater control over which shipping options display depending on what products a customer has in their cart. Using product tags, you can restrict the shipping options to only display for products with a certain tag.

1. Tag the products you are wanting to assign to a certain shipping method.  

 
2. Assign this tag to a Collection which can ship in the shipping methods.

3. Click Finish.

4. Go to your shipping section in settings.


5. Click on Edit at Shipping Methods.


6. At the shipping method you are wanting to restrict to your product collection you will see an option “Only products in the following collection can be delivered using this method” with a dropdown menu. At the dropdown menu select the product collection you are wanting to assign to the Shipping method.  


7. Click Finish.


8. Publish changes to save.

 

 

If a product that is not in the selected Shipping collection, customers will see a message as below in the cart page.
